  1. I am not a big online shopper so it was worthwhile to check out the places on your list. I often feel that I get overwhelmed with all the choices there are for online shopping sites and the products that they carry and I give up. One thing I pay attention to is the return shipping policy. As for original gifts I like to browse through etsy.com

  2. I like that you included a variety of examples for good shopping sites! Some unique sites like Think Geek or Spud are particularly neat to share because many people don't know about them already. Other great shopping websites are spaboutique.ca, a Canadian beauty products website with a wide selection such as OPI and China Glaze nailpolishes, or allcosmeticswholesale.com for current and discontinued make up (especially for all the MAC lovers out there!)
As well, worth a mention is hautelook.com or beyondtherack.com. Both websites require you to sign up for free, and have daily 48-72 hour sales on designer items up to 80% off! All authentic too! I shop there ALLLLL the time!

  3. I like online shopping too, but I am always a little bit hesitate to buy clothing online. There would be so much trouble to go through if the size doesn't fit, isn't it? Guys probably don't have this problem as they can wear things a little bit loose, but for girls, we need perfect fit clothing. Maybe it's just me.

  4. I have to agree with simplevine. Plus, it's nice to get out of the house sometimes and the mall is a great place to go when it's raining!

  5. You speak my language! I absolutely LOVE online shopping. I think I prefer online to in-person shopping because the thrill of shopping is extended to a delightful three step process:

1)Finding the item you want online.
2)Completing the purchase (even more exciting when you find free shipping codes).
    3)Receiving the item.

I know that a lot of major retailers now offer free returns directly to their stores which is extremely convenient for those who are worried about sizes and such.

Overall, I love your list Julia! I have shopped at many of them myself and have never had any problems. The only thing I might add to your list is a travel site. I do a lot of travelling in the US and have found www.priceline.com and their Name Your Own Price function to be exceptional at finding cheap deals on great hotels and flights.

  6. I like shopping online. Never been to the ones you listed except for the London Drugs. Great to see how other companies do things. My fiance uses the Amazon site to buy her school books and when I hear the name Amazon I only think of books. I just realized that they have diversify and now offer more than books like Blu-Ray movies, designer watches, home & garden and sports & outdoor products. Good for them to not just stick with one thing.

I don't shop online for clothes as I would rather try it in person. I would hate it if I get a shirt and it didn't fit and I have to go out of my way to return it. If the clothing store is in the same city I would like to check their website first to see what's new and if the site has a function where you can add to cart and allows me to pick up at store. This way I get to the store and go up to the customer service desk and give them my name. They will hand me the clothes and I can go straight to the change room. This will eliminate me trying to find the items.

That's why I like surfing the futureshop.ca website because I can do my research first and select pick up in store option. Even though internet is the future I don't mind still going into the store and physically look at the item before I buy.

I like how you kept it simple. I like the way you hyperlink the company name so viewers can just click on the name to go directly to the site. I would rather separate the link for the visual learners to embed the website info into viewers minds.

    Thanks for sharing your list
